Annual General Meeting & Cards for the Military

When: Wednesday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m.

Where: St. Andrew’s Hall 2504 13th Ave NW, Calgary AB

What: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be a brief in-person meeting with members-only having voting privileges, followed by our Enrichment program, Card Making for Canadian Military Personnel.

Watch: The AGM agenda package was distributed to members on May 2, 2025 via eBulletin. This included the agenda, minutes of the AGM 2024, motion(s), nominees for Directors’ positions, Directors’ reports, and the audited financial statement. Click HERE to contact us if you have not received your AGM package.


The Library

The BVCG Library will be open from 6:30 p.m. to allow you to check books out of the library and those with books due to return them.

Bring along your latest art discoveries, projectswhether finished or a work in progress, that new tool that has simplified your life, a tool that you have no idea how to use, anything that paper and lettering arts people will enjoy. 


Cards for the Military

There will be lots of paper, supplies to borrow, and two card-making kits with all of the supplies you will need enclosed.

Please bring a basic kit of

  • imagination
  • gratitude
  • scissors or an X-Acto
  • glue
  • glue pages
  • double-sided tape
  • favourite writing tools
  • favourite ephemera – stickers, stamps, ribbon, etc. NO glitter please (security reasons).

If you don’t have any of these items, come anyway; we are good at sharing. Come and bring a friend! There will be refreshments and door prizes. Please wear a name tag. If it is wet and mucky or snowing (it is Calgary!), please bring indoor shoes.

 

Participation of out-of-town members is possible.

  • For Canadian members, send your cards to our snail mail address: Bow Valley Calligraphy Guild, PO Box 1647, Station M, Calgary, AB, T2P 2L7. Cards received before October 22 will be delivered to our service men and women before Christmas 2025.
